Witches

WITCHES: This is one of my favorite subjects because, I can identify with being a witch and l am proud of that. Mostly because of the fact l let the universe guide me in my daily life to help people, l go where l am needed. To clarify an old myth male witches are NOT warlocks!  That was popularized in mainstream pop culture on a popular sitcom called "Bewitched". In the pilot episode male witches are called simply witches not warlocks. ( That word did not even come into use until the 14th century),Then in the series run it was used for gender assigning to make males seem more powerful than females, and that is plain nonsense one cannot exist without the other and both can be equally as powerful. That word is a very offensive and derogatory term to most witches! Best way to explain the word is "traitor" or "betrayer", when a witch would betray another to save themselves from jail, dunking, being burned alive, or the gallows, they were labeled a" warlock" or "warring witch", by fellow witches. If the "warlock" was found out by other witches. They would remove their tongue, remove their eye's, and cut off their index fingers and place them in their ear's. "Hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil." To send a message as to who the traitor was. And also do some other unpleasant things. SO... please do not call them a" warlock" just because they identify with, or are a male Witch! 

I do not like labels on such gifts I am a child of the universe, nothing more nothing less.

 Now moving on......... 

There are so many different facets of majick (my preferred spelling) so, that leads to different types of Witches. So here is a small sample of the different types. Remember this is just sample of some types, I would not want to offend anyone if I leave a type of majick out. Since I don't like the terms "Angel" and "Demon", or "Good" and "Evil" or " God" and "Devil". I use the terms "Benevolent" and "Malevolent". THESE ARE THE POWERS THAT BE!. 

HEDGE WITCH: A Witch that uses plants and other things found in nature to make tonics, infusions, potions, through years of knowledge passed down from the family or another that has mentored you. You just can't start mixing up things and smear them on your body, ingesting them or giving them to others because you saw it in an episode of" charmed" and it worked. Someone will get hurt ,sick ,or possibly die. As with all majick it takes time, knowledge and practice. This can be most dangerous if done wrong .

 ELEMENTAL WITCH: A Witch that uses the power of the elements for their workings.        

 Earth : North, the Mother Goddess life itself.

Air : East, the Soul the very breath of life, wisdom, power of the mind.   

Fire : South, the fertility God creation and destruction.

Water : West, cleansing, purification,emotion.                                                                                       

 When these are used and balanced properly extraordinary things can happen. Some wonderful and some terrible. This majick can never truly be completely controlled, It has to be respected and used with caution. If it's unbalanced it causes chaos. It takes many years of great feats and failed attempts and practice as well as great discipline to master or "to think" you have mastered this type of majick.

 CELESTIAL WITCH: A Witch that uses the planets, stars, the moon, and the sun for their workings. This can be pretty technical. As you'll need to know the times, positions of objects, elements involved, colors involved, deity, their offering. That's a lot of things to consider and that if not properly trained can lead to failure. Timing is everything but that being said still great care must be taken because with this and all types of majick, "to gain something, "something has to be lost". 

DIVINATION WITCH: A Witch that uses objects such as stones, water, crystals, runes, bones, tarot cards, crystallomancy (using of crystal ball). To see into the future, past or present. This type of Witch is one who has spent many hours of inner reflection , meditation, and solitude to nurture this ability and make it blossom. This is not your average spell casting Witch.

     Of course these are just a few of the many types of Witches and most Witches use a combination of different types of majick. Remember this is just a short list of some of the types of Witchcraft and no one practitioner of the craft should limit themselves to one thing. Witches were meant to grow and learn after all the word "Witch" means wise one. Most Witches cast benevolent only, with the intent of good but, "As to light so there be dark". This being said even a Witch with the best of intent can cause a "Hiccup" if you will, that has unpleasant effects somewhere. Next is dark Witches I put this separate because it may cause confusion to the "lay reader". They are sort of like an "Elemental Witch" and "Celestial Witch" crossover.

 DARK WITCHES: A Witch that uses the darker side of the "Majickal spectrum" ( if you will ), to cast negative majick , For every positive there is a negative. Do not think that just because they use the dark side, that they are evil, or worship the devil ( Witches don't believe in the devil ), or tear heads off bunnies (not all any way). That being said..... Some practice blood sacrifices, summon malevolent spirits, conjure dark spells. This type of majick can be very strong indeed, but for you to be a "master" practitioner you must understand you never truly master the elements. As well as give your all. 

To quote Fredrich Nietzche:,"Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster. And if you gaze long enough into an abyss, the abyss will gaze back into you".

 In all types of Witchcraft you have to give your all. And be willing to accept all outcomes!
